You can request deletion of your VatCake account and personal information at any time. Some information may need to be retained where we are required to keep records for legal, tax, Customs, audit or fraud-prevention reasons.

Where available, you can also request account deletion from inside theVatCake app:
1. Open the VatCake app
2. Go to Settings
3. Select Account
4. Select Delete account
5. Follow the instructions to confirm your request.

To request deletion of your VatCake account, email privacy@taxbackeurope.com from the email address linked to your account. We will verify your identity before processing the request. Please note that some information cannot be deleted immediately where we are legally required to retain it, for example records relating to VAT refund claims. The web form should remain the primary public route once implemented.

✓ We will close or restrict access to your account.
✓ We will delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed for the service or legal obligations.
✓ We may retain VAT refund claim records where required by law, Customs, tax, audit or fraud-prevention obligations.
✓ We aim to complete verified account deletion requests within 30 days.
✓ We will confirm when the request has been processed.
